Adrenaline and Fun in the Sierra de Guara
Affordable descents for people with no experience, but where physical fitness is more important. They are either longer, more intense ravines; or that they may have rappels of moderate heights as well as larger jumps.
Most difficulties still have options, although some steps are mandatory.
Ideal for people who have done beginner canyoning I, those who are more sporty or for those looking for an extra adrenaline… The landscapes and water are still magnificent, incredible and unforgettable.

Frequently asked questions Intermediate canyoning Huesca in Avalancha
What are the differences between the beginner and intermediate levels?
The intermediate level is a step up from the basic level, with more challenging ravines and higher sections. At this level, better physical condition is required. Although they are not more technically difficult, they are more demanding in the approach marches, with longer routes and a higher flow. In some cases, it is necessary to descend with ropes, performing low-height rappels.
Do I need any kind of physical condition for level II canyoning?
Good physical condition is recommended to handle the obstacles and more technical sections. These descents require a certain skill and greater effort, so good physical condition guarantees an excellent day.
What type of ravines are traversed at the intermediate level?
At this level, ravines with greater slopes, jumps and small descents are traversed that increase the excitement.
Does the intermediate level include jumps and slides on the route?
Yes, the intermediate level usually includes jumps and slides; however, you can choose to avoid certain obstacles according to your preferences. On these descents, we can find larger slides and jumps, up to 10 meters (which are optional). In addition, depending on the canyon, there may be abseils of moderate heights of up to 6-7 meters.
Can I do the intermediate level without canyoning experience?
It is not necessary to have previous experience, but it is ideal to have tried some beginner level canyons. However, a better general fitness level is required.
