Frequently asked questions Intermediate canyoning Huesca in Avalancha
Is the beginner level of canyoning safe for children?
Recommended for those over 8 years old with adult supervision. As specialists, we know how to choose the routes in which children have fun without taking risks, adapting to the level of the youngest. Safety is maximum and specialized equipment is used. The conditions guarantee fun and total enjoyment in Nature.
What does the equipment include in the basic level of canyoning?
The material provided by the company is a 2-piece 5mm neoprene suit, neoprene sock/bootie, helmet, harness, watertight container to carry food and a special backpack to carry it.
How long does a level I canyoning excursion last?
A level I excursion usually lasts approximately 3 hours inside the canyon, in the water, depending on the group and the conditions of the day. However, from the moment we meet at Avalancha, where we prepare the equipment, approach the ravine and complete the activity, the total duration is about six hours.
Is it necessary to know how to swim to do canyoning at the beginner level?
Knowing how to swim at least is essential for canyoning, although with the suit we float without problem. It is important not to be afraid of water, or of areas where we cannot stand.
How should I prepare for a level I canyoning excursion?
The client must bring their swimsuit, sports shoes and food to eat during the trip, although food can also be ordered at Avalancha, where we prepare a picnic for an additional price. It is advisable to bring sun protection elements, depending on the weather: sun cream, a cap, a t-shirt for the approach, etc.
